Da’s

IMPORTANT!

  1. Have in your mind when performing a Da, how tight is my hand, how loose is my arm (rubber arm and a steel hand/mind).
  2. Always maintain an action angle when performing the Da pathways, this will avoid hyperextending the limb's causing injury.
  3. Maintain focus on Nan Da's throat at all times.
  4. When training Da's alone, imagine you have Nan Da in front of you.

Pads

Yin Pads

Yin Pads are used with a Rams Head Fist, Entry Fist or Cup Open Hand hits in the art of Wu-Hsing, this type of pad can be found in most sporting goods suppliers and come in a wide variety of brands, you will also find that these types of pads are used by other types of sport activities such as boxing.

The pads themselves are usually made from a softer type of material which is good to learn on and won't damage your hands or wrists.

Although the Wu-Chi School of Arts will supply these in class it pays to obtain your own pair so that you will be able to train what you have learned in class in your own time.
