Weapons
Dwans
Dwans are made from Rattan Cane.
The Correct way to hold the Dwans is to have a distance of your own fist from the bottom of the Dwan.
Taylor made for each individual
Each pair of Dwans is unique to each individuals physiology.
To get the correct measurements you need to:
- Place one end of the Dwan on the palm of your hand.
- Mark the Dwan where it meets the centre of your chest.
- Cut the Dwan with a wood saw, then repeat for the other Dwan.
Uses
- We use Dwans in class to train a student's mind to react to sounds during the San exercises.
- We use Dwans in the Kou Tou.
- A single Dawn can be used as a single handed weapon.
- Two Dwans can be used as dual handed weapons.
